Megalithic Shahi Eidgah

Shahi Eidgah is one of the popular tourist attractions of the area. Shahi Eidgah, One of the largest and oldest Eidgahs in Bangladesh, was built on a hill by the Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb in the 17th century. It looks like a grade fort but is actually built for Eid congregation-the two biggest Muslim festivals. The Shahi Eidgah is situated on a hillock at the south-easten end of Sylhet city. The area is surrounded by encircling wall.
